2026 Outside Pool Memberships

Hallowell HOA offers a limited number of outside pool memberships for individuals and families who do not live in the community.

Family Pass – $599.00

Individual Pass – $375.00

Approvals will be completed within 2 business days.

How to Purchase a Pool Membership

  1. Visit:

  2. Click Sign Up below the Sign In button.
  3. Select Outside Pool Member from the dropdown menu.
  4. Complete the required fields, including name, address, email, and password, then agree to the pool pass rules.
  5. Check your email and verify your account.
  6. Sign back into the system.
  7. Select Pool Pass Request and upload your photo and required documentation.
  8. Submit your request for review.
  9. Once approved, return to the portal and select Purchase.
  10. Choose either the Individual or Family membership.

After payment is confirmed, your pool pass will automatically be activated.

Family memberships allow additional family members to be added by submitting their required information and photos through the portal.

When arriving at the pool, simply provide your name to the desk staff. Staff will verify your photo and check you in.

Swimming Pool Schedule

In the interest of ensuring a safe and pleasurable summer for all, the following operating hours have been set by the Hallowell HOA Board of Directors and may be changed without notice.

The dates of operation are Saturday, May 23, 2026, through Monday, September 7, 2026.

Partnership with Lake Hallowell – Swim Team Season ONLY

During the swim team season (May 23 – July 15), Hallowell pool members may use the Lake Hallowell pool at the following times:

  • May 23 – June 11: Monday–Friday evenings during swim team practice (see hours below)
  • June 12 – July 26: Monday evenings during swim team practice (see hours below)
  • Evening swim meets and during swim team events when Hallowell’s pool closes early

Similarly, Lake Hallowell members are welcome at Hallowell on Tuesdays and Thursdays during evening swim team practice only (see hours below).

In both cases, members must sign in at the host pool’s front desk and follow all host pool rules.

This benefit applies to pool members only — no additional guests. Any issues will be handled at the host pool’s discretion.

Swimming Pool Operational Policies and Rules

Let’s swim!!! In the interest of ensuring a safe and pleasurable summer for all, these policies have been adopted by the Hallowell Homeowners Association (HOA). Operating hours are set by the Hallowell HOA Board of Directors and may be changed without notice.

The pool dates of operation are provided within the published pool schedule. The pool may be closed at the discretion of the manager on duty in the case of thunder, lightning, cold weather, operational breakdown, or health-related issue.

General Policies

  1. All members using the pool or pool area do so at their own risk. The Hallowell HOA assumes no responsibility for any accident or injury in connection with the use of the pool and will not be responsible for any loss or damage of personal property of any kind.
  2. Individuals may enter the pool only in proper bathing attire. Shorts and other attire not designed for swimming may not be worn in the pool; individuals must be barefooted when entering the main pool. Water shoes are not permitted in the main pool.
  3. All persons over five years of age entering the pool grounds must show a valid pool pass or guest pass. Pool passes are not transferable. Pool passes may be de-activated for any members that are cited for pool or community rules violations, ACC compliance, monthly dues or other fee delinquency.
  4. Resident pool passes and guest passes may be purchased online through the community pool entry system. Cash payments are not allowed at the pool. No exceptions. If you prefer to pay for passes or other pool-related activities by check or money order, please make checks payable to Hallowell HOA.
  5. The lifeguards have been empowered to enforce the general pool policies and operational guidelines. Pool management shall have the authority to dismiss from Hallowell pool property any adult or child who poses a threat to safety after a verbal warning. Any adult or child that commits an illegal act shall be dismissed from the Hallowell pool property immediately. A “three strikes and you are out” discipline policy is in effect as described below. Failure to heed any instructions or requests of the lifeguards or pool or association management will result in the following loss of pool privileges:
    • Strike one – 3 day suspension of pool privileges. The individual is not allowed on the pool grounds and within 500 feet of the pool grounds during the suspension period.
    • Strike two – 10 day suspension of pool privileges. The individual is not allowed on the pool grounds and within 500 feet of the pool grounds during the suspension period.
    • Strike three – individual will no longer be allowed in the pool for the remainder of the season. In addition, the Board of Directors reserves the right to revoke pool privileges for the entire family of the person whose bad conduct warranted this action, if deemed appropriate for the situation and approved by the Board.
    • Guests are subject to the same code of conduct requirements issued to the resident membership. However, guests will not be afforded the “Three Strikes” discipline
    • The unruly behavior of any guest will automatically invoke Strike Three disciplinary action for the guest; they will not be allowed in the pool for the remainder of the season. All guests are the responsibility of the member who brought the guest.

  7. Parents are reminded of their responsibility to supervise their children both inside and outside of the shower and clubhouse areas, especially during break periods. Any misuse of Hallowell resources may result in forfeiture of permission to enter pool grounds.

Pool Operations

  1. Children under 16 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult during pool hours unless a Parental Authorization Form is on file at the front desk. Children that are not 16 years of age, on or before the pool opens each pool season, are subject to this
    • An adult is considered a permanent or temporary guardian (including babysitters) 16 years of age or older. Nannies and/or babysitters 16 years of age or older may be authorized to accompany children to the pool without the attendance of the parent or legal guardian, provided that written permission of the child’s parent or permanent legal guardian is on file. Forms specifically for this purpose must be completed. Nanny/babysitter/childcare provider passes are issued to be used specifically in place of a parent or guardian. In cases where parents or guardians wish to use the pool in conjunction with a babysitter or nanny, the babysitter or nanny is considered a guest and will only be eligible to use the pool if the member provides a guest pass.
  2. Parental Authorization Forms to allow children between the ages of 12 and 15 on pool grounds without an adult are available at the front desk. The child must first demonstrate to the pool manager or designee, his or her ability to swim. Both the parent/guardian and the child must sign the form to demonstrate an understanding of the rules. Completed forms must be presented to the pool staff by the parent or permanent legal guardian providing permission.
  3. Guests may be brought to the pool. Members shall be held responsible for the actions of their children and guests. Guests must always be accompanied by an adult pool member. Guest passes may be purchased online through the pool entry system.
  4. Mandatory rest periods for children shall be announced by the on-duty lifeguard for 10 minutes, at 50 minutes after each hour, except the last hour before closing. During rest periods, all individuals under the age of 16 must be completely out of the main swimming pool. Exempt from this provision are children in a private, supervised swim lesson program delivered by a Pool Management approved swim
  5. Individuals over the age of five (5) shall not be permitted in the wading pool unless they are playing with a younger sibling under the age of five (5). All children using the wading pool must always be accompanied by an adult within the wading pool fence. Lifeguards are not responsible for monitoring the wading pool area. This is the parent’s

Any individual using the playground equipment in the pool playground in an unsafe manner (e.g., jumping off equipment in an unsafe way, throwing other children off the equipment, other unsafe actions) will be warned of their behavior and potentially prohibited from using the pool playground. Individuals over the age of twelve (12) are not permitted to play on the playground equipment in the pool
  7. Diaper-aged babies, including children wearing disposable diapers, must wear a swimsuit and plastic or rubber
  8. Alcoholic beverages and all glass containers are prohibited on swimming pool grounds. Members or guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall not be permitted on pool property. The Hallowell Pool is a Smoke Free facility – no smoking anywhere within or outside the pool facility within 500 feet.
  9. Rafts, inner tubes, noodles and other play equipment and toys will not be allowed in the pool at this time. On certain occasions, based solely at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty and on the current number of patrons in the pool at a given time, USCG-approved flotation devices may be used. (Such flotation devices may also be allowed for special events).
  10. Pets are prohibited on swimming pool grounds and anywhere inside the fence, except for Service

Assessment Delinquencies and ACC Violations

(Applicable to Hallowell homeowners only)

Every pool pass assigned to a household with a delinquent account, or an ACC violation will be denied access to pool grounds. When this occurs, the pass holder will be directed to contact Community Association Services, Inc. for resolution. Lifeguards are not authorized to waive this restriction. Only the Hallowell HOA President is authorized to temporarily override the restriction pending investigation by the Community Manager.
